I don't think my dad knew what he was doing when he bought me a Nikon SLR one day on our way to Chincoteague Island. It was his gift to me for tagging along on one of his birdwatching expeditions. He must have thought it would give me something to do. I was 13 and instantly enthralled.
That gift started me irreversibly down a path of wandering and dreaming, gazing and picturemaking.
You never know how something's going to impact you. 15 years later, I'm still in love with the medium, though my work continues to expand into new styles and forms.

These two photos were shot on my very first roll of film way back in 1991. I like to think I've gotten better since then. My medium of choice has progressed from pencil and paper to B&W film to color digital photography to high definition video and...I can only imagine...
So watch this space and I'll keep you up-to-date on the musings and meanderings. This website will evolve as I go, and I hope you'll come along.
